I know it hasn’t quite been a month since our last newsletter, but we wanted to make sure you were prepared for the onslaught of music coming your way in the next three weeks! We also wanted to let you know that now is the time to make all your chocolate dreams come true by joining our Purdy’s fundraiser!
First the music:
Nov. 22nd Our saxophone teacher, Kayleigh Francis will be performing as part of the Big Enuff Big Band's concert Things That Swing.
Nov. 23rd at 3pm is our “Winter is Coming” faculty concert featuring music for piano, harp, flute, violin and voice about the changing of the seasons. Admission is pay-what-you-can.
Nov. 27th/28th our next session of Sunrise (music program for 3 and 4 year olds) will start.
Nov. 30th is the PGSO’s “Coming of Age, Music That Grows With You”
Dec. 4th The next of session of Rhythm, Rhyme and Song starts. Our Wednesday 9:30am class is now full, but there's still room in the Wednesday 11:15am and the Thursday 11:00am classes!
Dec. 6th at 2pm and 7pm is the PG Cantata Singers “Brightest and Best” Christmas concert.
Dec. 7th Conservatory winter recitals. All ages at 3pm and adult students at 7pm.
Dec. 13th at 7pm is the PGSYO's “Celtic Christmas” concert with special guests PG Old Time Fiddlers, the Conservatory’s harp ensemble, highland dancers, pipers and more! The concert will be at St. Michael’s Church. Admission is by donation to help support the PGSYO. Suggest donation for adults $25 and children/youth $10. Tickets are available online or at the door.
Dec. 18th-21st PGSO and Judy Russell's Enchainement Dance Centre present the seasonal favourite, The Nutcracker.
Phewff! And that's just the concerts that are students and teachers are involved in! In order to take in all that wonderful music, you're going to need to keep your energy with chocolates made in Canada with premium quality ingredients, and sustainable cocoa….
We are fundraising once again with Purdys Chocolatier this Christmas. If you order through our campaign, the Conservatory receives up to 25% back in fundraising profit. Catalogues are available at the Conservatory or you can browse the catalogue and order online. Our sales goal this year is $1500.
A Bonus Box of milk and dark favourites will go to the family with the biggest order!

If chocolate isn't your thing we'd love your support this Dec. 2nd on Giving Tuesday (or really, anytime you feel like supporting non-profit music education)! Donations can be made online here or by cheque, cash or credit card.
Speaking of fundraising, one of our adult students is keen to get a group together to help plan fundraising events for the Conservatory (we heard there will be food at these meetings!). If you'd like to join the fun, please respond to this email, and we'll connect you!
Finally a reminder to all of our students that the Conservatory will be closed Dec. 22nd-Jan. 4th for the winter holiday.
