Hannah Kang
Piano
Hannah (Yonghee Kang) began her musical studies in Seoul Korea at the age of five. She majored in piano in high school and later completed further studies at the University of Sydney Australia. As the director of the conservatory of music in Seoul Korea from 1999-2009, Hanna taught students of all ages. In 2010 she opened her own private studio. From 2000-2018, she was the accompanist at Dong-San church. Since moving to Prince George, she has been the accompanist at St. Giles Presbyterian Church. Hannah enjoys playing chamber music and has played with the PGSO and Alban Classical as well as accompanying students in the Prince George & District music festival. Hannah’s wish for her students is that they experience the joy of music.
Ages: Five and up
Teaching method: Exploring music by reading, listening, and playing music from various sources according to students’ individual needs and interests.
Genres: Hannah majored in classical but encourages students to practice a variety of genres according to their levels and interests.
