Elizabeth Klassen
Piano and theory
Growing up in Prince George, Elizabeth Klassen participated in the local music and drama festivals, winning multiple awards in both. She holds her RCM level 10 and her ARCT in Harmony and Analysis. She is currently pursuing her Performance ARCT and plans to complete it in January, 2024.
Elizabeth has been teaching piano for the last seven years. She loves sharing her passion for music with her students and watching their love and understanding of music grow. Through the years she has learnt how to maximize on every child’s skill and how to encourage them where they struggled. She has taught a wide range of ages, the youngest being five and the oldest in her sixties, as well as students with special needs. She has a relaxed leadership style in which she encourages her students to ask questions and share their opinions on the music.
Elizabeth enjoys collaborating with other musicians and has accompanied the UNBC Musical Productions presentation of “The Last Five Years,” Theatre NorthWest’s production of “The Marvelous Wonderettes,” and Cedars Christian School’s Christmas Concert.
