Chiao-Rou Liu is a pianist and dedicated educator currently pursuing her Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance at the University of Arizona, with a minor in Musician Wellness and Injury Prevention. She holds a Master of Music from Indiana University and a Bachelor of Music with Summa Cum Laude honors from the University of Ottawa. Her pedagogical experience spans private studios, collegiate group piano instruction, and summer programs such as Belvoir Terrace, where she has worked with students of diverse ages and backgrounds.
She is fluent in English, French, and Mandarin Chinese, and is passionate about creating inclusive, engaging learning environments that support each student’s unique musical path.

Teaching Method: Chiao-Rou’s teaching philosophy emphasizes mindful practicing, healthy technique, and critical listening, guiding students to become self-sufficient musicians capable of making their own artistic decisions.
