We've got a lot to tell you about this month, but I'll start with our most exciting news:
The Conservatory is excited to welcome Maggie Corbett to our faculty as a violin instructor! Many of you may already know Maggie from her volunteer work at our first Music Party of the year, her performance at our fall faculty concert, or her involvement with the PG Symphony Youth Orchestra. If you've met her, you already know how talented, dedicated, and wonderful she is!
Now is the perfect time to start violin lessons—Maggie’s schedule is still open, but we know it won’t be for long once everyone discovers what an incredible teacher she is! You can read more about Maggie on our website here.
Speaking of the PG Symphony Youth Orchestra, the group has been hard at work preparing a concert entitled “Child of the Violin: Anna Maria and Maestro Vivaldi”. They will be giving two family-friendly concerts on March 15th - one at the Bob Harkins branch of the PG Public Library at 11:30am and one at the Conservatory at 3pm. Admission is by donation which will help support the PGSYO's spring break tour. Maggie will be one of the featured soloists for this concert, so it's a great opportunity to meet her! More info on the concert here.

Also orchestra related, registration for the Orchestra North Summer Program is now open! ONSP is a joint effort between the PGSO and the Conservatory and offers a fun and inspiring program for players of symphonic instruments (strings, winds and brass) of all levels and ages for 5 days of orchestra, chamber music, workshops, and performances! New this year will be a program for children 4-6 years of age which introduce students to the wonderful world of the violin. No instrument or experience necessary! The program takes place from Aug. 1st-5th and you can find more information here.
Speaking of programs, we’ve got new sessions starting after Spring Break including Joy Of Singing , Harp Ensemble, Rhythm Rhyme and Song(children under 3), Sunrise (3&4 year olds) and Music Theory.

If you're looking for a delicious or fashionable way to support the Conservatory, we have two options for you! If you missed our Christmas Purdy’s fundraiser (or even if you didn’t, but you want more delicious chocolate) we have an Easter Purdy’s campaign underway. The link to our campaign is here.
We’re also excited to announce that you can now display your support of the Conservatory by wearing/using Conservatory merchandise! We’ve got t-shirts, hoodies, water bottles and more! Check out our store here, and look how happy our new laptop bag makes our voice teacher, Danielle Klaponski!
Finally, a reminder to our students that the Conservatory will be closed for Spring Break March 17th-28th.
