Allison Bell
Violin, viola, chamber groups
Allison Bell has been a full time violin teacher and active musician in Prince George since 2012, and regularly performs with the PGSO as well as solo and chamber projects. Her teaching prioritizes a foundation of music comprehension and strong performance skills at all levels. Students develop the skills to thrive in chamber and orchestra environments, as well as competitive settings. In RCM exams, students regularly achieve first class honours and gold medals.
Ages: 6 years to adult
Teaching method:
Uses a blend of Suzuki and RCM methods, supplemented with other materials according to students’ individual needs and interests. Excellent technique and musical literacy are a primary focus at all levels.
Genres:
Primarily classical. Students may explore various repertoire styles as they progress.
Group Options:
Chamber and violin groups run Tuesday evenings in 5-8 week sessions throughout the year. Students must be enrolled in private lessons at the Conservatory or in the community.
