After achieving her ARCT, Terry received her Bachelor degree in Music at the University of Victoria, studying under Dr. Bruce Vogt. She has taught music for 12 years both in music academy and privately. Terry strives to help her students to develop their musical interests and potentials. Her students have achieved first and second place in various piano competitions, such as Surrey and Vancouver Kiwanis music festival and BCCN music festival. Her students achieve high marks in theory exams, some even making perfect scores. Terry is fluent in English and Mandarin, helping her to communicate with students and parents whose English may be limited. She joined the PGCM in September 2016 and is quickly filling her studio. She hopes to start a senior’s music class and a group piano class for adults in the upcoming season. Terry also is a much sought after accompanist, playing with the Caledonia Chamber Choir, the Ecole College Heights elementary school choir, and accompanying private students from the PGCM and other private studios at the PG and District Music Festival.
